We are delighted to be welcoming Lisa Holdsworth to give our fourth annual lecture on Saturday 14th October, 4.45pm in Ilkley Playhouse. Lisa will be discussing how to encourage writers from different backgrounds. Lisa is best known for her television writing, including Call the Midwife, Emmerdale, and Midsomer Murders. She is also a vocal advocate for Writers’ Rights in her role as Deputy Chair of the Writer’s Guild of Great Britain – a trade union for professional writers, including emerging and aspiring writers.
The lecture will take the format of an interview with Yvette Huddleston, arts journalist at the Yorkshire Post and Walter’s writing partner.
